Small businesses experienced a period of slight hiring growth
in the month of September. On the surface,
this is considered an encouraging sign for small business owners and job
seekers. However, a recent study suggests that despite the improved hiring
trends last month, it falls short of meeting the hiring success rates of the
summer.
The fall is a critical time of the year for small
businesses. With several holidays approaching
in October and the ensuing months, proprietors may scramble to hire additional
seasonal employees for extra coverage to assist with a high volume of customer traffic.
The incessant financial costs associated with running a business
can seem overwhelming for small business owners; which in turn creates a burden
for them if they need additional funding to pay new hires. A paucity of
resources leads many small business companies to explore the breadth of options
available to obtain funding to expand payroll needs for what will likely be a
hectic holiday season.
